URTICA AID TABLETS

The action of each ingredient of is as follows :

Urtica urens: Itching blotches. Urticaria, burning heat with formication; violent itching. Rheumatism alternates with nettle rash. Erythema, with burning and stinging.

Apis mellifica: Acts on cellular tissues causing oedema of skin and mucous membranes. Erysipelatous inflammations, dropsical effusions and anasarca.

Urticaria or Hives are itchy, burning swellings that appear on the skin as an indication of an allergic sensitivity to various allergens specially with a family history. The development of Urticaria occurs when the body releases histamines into the blood stream or tissues as an allergic response causing widening of the capillaries thereby allowing the plasma to escape through its walls resulting in swellings on skin surface.

Urticaria appears as red/white blotches on the skin accompanied by itching & burning. Bakson's Urtica Aid helps relieve intolerable itching, stinging pains of Hives/Urticaria & symptoms of Angioedema besides fighting ill effects of suppressed Urtiaria.

Composition: Urtica urens 3x, Apis mellifica 3x.

Indications: Helps relieve intolerable itching, stinging pains of Hives/Urticaria & symptoms of Angioedema besides fighting ill effects of suppressed Urticaria.

Side effects: No known side effects

Dosage: For Hives: Adults: Depending upon the condition of the complaint the dosage varies

• Acute Phase: One tablet 4 times a day. As condition improves gradually reduce the dosage from 4 to 3, to 2, to 1 tablet at an interval of 2 -3 days and eventually maintain the dosage to one tablet twice a week (once on Monday & Thursday).
• Chronic Phase: Start with one tablet Monday & Thursday, twice a week for two weeks. Improvement is seen, as swelling, redness and itching of skin reduces. Continue the medicine till the symptoms disappear. In case of no improvement after fifteen days you may increase to one tablet alternate day for two weeks.

Based upon the response after one month the dosages can be increased in case of no improvement which is very rare from alternate day to once a day, up to twice daily at the interval of 15 days each. Usually most of the patients respond well within the first month.

Maintenance dosage of twice a week is to be taken till patient is completely symptom free.

Children: Start with one tablet once a week. As the improvement increases, you may reduce the dosage to one tablet once in ten days and then one tablet once fortnightly.

Maintenance dosage of once fortnightly is to be taken till the child is completely symptom free.
