Bacopa monnieri or Brahmi is an Indian herb with long tradition of use as a nervine and cardiac tonic. It has positive effect on the central nervous system. Its use as a nervine tonic is to lower tension due to mental over-work. It also helps to improve learning potential & memory. It has antioxidant properties and reduces oxidation of fats in the bloodstream. Lowers anxiety and induces good sleep. Also used as tranquilizer and a muscle relaxant.
