Dryness of skin is a very common condition which causes fine flakes, cracking and dry patches on the skin and associated itching. It can affect any part of the body but hands, arms and legs are commonly affected.

Exposure to dry weather, winters, hot water and certain chemicals can cause dryness of skin or it may occur due to underlying medical conditions. Old age, family history history of eczema or allergy and frequent or extremely hot water baths are some common risk factors. Dry skin can get complicated and turn into dermatitis.

Certain lifestyle changes can help to prevent and relieve dryness of skin, these are - Avoiding hot water baths, bathing for lesser time, moisturising skin, avoiding scratching the skin, increasing water intake, etc.

Action of Ingredients:

Sulphur: It is beneficial in skin diseases where there is voluptuous itching and scratching which gives some relief. The scratching causes burning. Skin is dry, scaly and unhealthy. Freckles, Pimply eruption, pustules, rhagades, hang-nails. Excoriation, especially in folds.
