Sudden sad news, frights and great disappointments all result in shock and great unhappiness. For those who for a time refuse to be consoled, this remedy brings comfort. In some cases the result of mental shock may be manifested almost at once in the body. In other people, the effects of shock are repressed. They appear calm and unaffected at the time, but later on perhaps weeks, or months or even years afterwards, the results of the shock may surface as a feel of breakdown, a skin or heart complaint, any form of physical ailment for which no apparent cause can be found. Here again Star of Bethlehem is invaluable in bringing comfort and the release of all pent-up emotions, and with recovery.

In treating some cases, therefore, which do not seem to respond well, it is a good thing to keep Star of Bethlehem in mind and to find out gently from the patient whether at any time in the recent or distant past he or she had suffered from some great shock or stress of mind.

Dosage: Take about two drops from the stock bottle and add it in a little water, milk or any way convenient to consume.
In urgent cases the doses may be given frequently or at interval of 2 to 3 hours depending upon case.
In those unconscious, moisten the lips frequently.
