Action of Medicine:

Lycopodium is indicated in gradually developing ailments, functional power weakening with failures of the digestive powers, where the function of the liver is seriously disturbed. Deep seated, progressive chronic diseases. Boils, recurring periodically.
Malnutrition, due to weakness of digestion. Affinity for the urinary organs, throat, chest, and ovaries. Symptoms characteristically run from right to left. It acts especially on right side of body and are worse from about 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Descending symptoms.
Primary action on digestive organs and adjoining glands, on liver and larger intestines rather than stomach. Acidity, sour, taste, belchings. Dropsy, ascites in liver diseases. Lithic acid diathesis. Kidney affections, with red sand in urine, backache in kidney region, worse before urination. Stones, gallstones, gravel. Emaciation and debility from loss of fluids, in morning. Marked regulating influence upon the glandular (sebaceous) secretions. Haemorrhages, dark blood. Poor circulation, cold limbs. Lacks vital heat, intolerant of cold drinks, craves everything warm. Sensitive to noise and odours.
