Action of Medicine:

This remedy is indicated in cases that are characterized by great debility. There is a sensation of a tremor all over the body, without trembling. It is adapted to those who have light hair; old people, especially women, who suffer from flushes of heat at the climacteric. There are aphthous conditions of the mouth, gums and buccal cavity. In cases of gastralgia in which the pains are either violent and contractive, or are of a dull, heavy, aching character with pyrosis and flatulence. Hypochlorhydria, heart - burn, sour eructations and vomiting that set the teeth on edge, with a watery diarrhoea and debility.
Purpura haemorrhagia, when there are blue, livid, or red spots, with relaxed muscles, with a general debility and a weakness and exhaustion from some deep - seated dyscrasia, with a constant desire for stimulants. Lichen, prurigo, and urticaria when there is a distressing itching, tingling and formication of the skin. Under its influence old cicatrices turn red and blue and become painful.
