Action of Medicine:

• Indicated in diseases of the cerebrospinal system that appear suddenly and with great severity.
• Cerebral congestion with coma preceded by vertigo, weight and excruciating pains in occiput in cases of supra-orbital neuralgia with flushing on same side of face.
• Hysterical or epileptic convulsions when muscles of back, face and jaws are affected and body becomes bluish.
• In cases of recent epilepsy, tetanus due to trauma, tonic spasms of respiratory organs, spasm of larynx, and pain in the chest.
• In angina pectoris with violent palpitations, weak and irregular pulse, cold extremities and severe pain in cardiac region.
• In gastralgia with a sensation of emptiness in stomach, sinking at pit of stomach. Indicated for narcolepsy when there is yawning and irresistible drowsiness.
