    • Querc. is one of Rademacher's splenic remedies. Chronic spleen disorders and spleen dropsy.
    • Dropsy and liver disorders. Useful in gout, old malarial cases with flatulence.
    • Vertigo, deafness with noises in head. Exceedingly nervous.
    • Antidotes effects of alcohol. Desire for alcoholic drinks. Burnett does not find Querc. a remedy for the liquor habit, it stops short at that but it diminishes the craving and antidotes the alcoholic state.
    • Powdered oak bark is an excellent dry dressing for ulcers and discharging wounds.
