Action of Medicine: Pulsatilla affects the emotions, veins, mucus membranes, respiration and one side. It is pre-eminently a female remedy, especially for mild, gentle, yielding disposition. The disposition and mental state are the chief guiding symptoms. Sad, crying readily, weeps when talking. Moody, contradictory. Changing, shifting symptoms, known as a weather cock remedy. Changeable nature. Erratic temperatures in fevers. Alternate pallor and redness of face. Wandering pains shift rapidly from one part to another, also with swelling and redness of the joints. Hemorrhages apparently stop and in a few hours return. Stools constantly changing color, no two stools alike. When one set of symptoms comes on another vanishes. Symptoms appear on one side or go to side laid on. The patient seeks the open air, always feels better there, even though he is chilly. Thirstless, chilliness and shortness of breath with digestive or menstrual disorders. Chilliness with pains but burning with stitching pains with numbness. Mucus membranes are all affected.
